Magic Suite 3.14

Magic Suite 3.14 has been released with the following changes across all products.

ReportMagic

New Features

  • Super Administrators can now lock Connections to prevent tenant-level modifications.
  • The AlertMagic help is now shown in the ReportMagic help system (when enabled by a SuperAdmin).
  • In Report Studio code mode, users can now switch between tabs and spaces for indentation.
  • New ability to get a list of Services and their properties under a Service Group.
  • The [LogicMonitor.Dashboard:] macro now supports a new expandWidgetLegends property.
  • New ability to get LogicMonitor widget SLA time frame.
  • New [File.Insert:] macro for inserting file content into reports.
  • User Roles are now displayed in a column in the Users tables.

Improvements

  • Macro help now indicates which input document types support each macro (Word, PowerPoint, HTML, Report Studio, etc.).
  • Updated the help page for "Connecting to External Systems" to describe what SuperAdmin-locked Connections are.
  • Removed the "Filter Reports by Result" UI toggle buttons from the progress page and replaced it with the Result filter. To filter the reports table by report execution status use the funnel icon at the top of the Result column. The execution status can also be sorted using the up/down arrows accordingly. Applying a filter in this way automatically populates the search text box with the filter syntax. For example, filtering on a status of Macro Error or System Error inserts the following: ExecutionResult:In("Macro Error"|"System Error") Available filter conditions are Equals, Does not equal, In list and Not in list. Use Equals / Not equals for a single status and the list options where multiple values are to be considered.
  • The [Cache.Set:] macro now provides a clearer error message when using a key that is already set.
  • Added missing properties for [LogicMonitor.CollectorList:] and [LogicMonitor.CollectorProperty:] macros.

Bug Fixes

  • File rename now works as expected in the Files browser.
  • Fixed an issue with the use of the DatabaseConnectionID override in a LogicMonitor connection configuration (used by the DataMagicSync feature).
  • Fixed an issue where Tenant Admins could double-click on a SuperAdmin locked Connection and still view the details.
  • Floating point numbers in XLSX output are now formatted as decimal instead of custom format.
  • The Files browser now shows text while typing a folder name.
  • Using the Files UI to copy a root folder back into the root now correctly creates a copy.
  • Navigating to help pages from search or clicking help links now correctly displays the intended content.
  • Fixed help examples for [File.Insert:] macro.
  • Removed some unused parameters from the [Stopwatch:] macro.
  • Job changes are no longer added to the AuditLog table in the UI and Database
  • Fixed an issue where the progress page would not always show the correct Warning count for report jobs.
  • The Progress Page now displays the build version when a job is initiated via Cron.
  • The [Toggl.ProjectList:] macro no longer fails unexpectedly.
  • PowerPoint templates no longer become corrupt when using normalFontColor in a table.
  • Only SuperAdmins now see the Delete button on Notifications pages.
  • Regular users can now see their own notifications on the Profile page.
  • The [ReportMagic.FeedbackList:] macro no longer gives an error with properties=AllAsJObject in Legacy Mode.
  • File macros that do not work in Report Studio now generate a clear error message when attempted.
  • Users can now clone Local cached values from Admin -> Cached Values.
  • The [DocumentSection:] macro now works correctly when using the moveToBookmark parameter.
  • [Toggl.XXX:] macros now list the workspaceId parameter as conditional, rather than optional.
  • Admin -> Cached Values now show the expiry date time UTC in the correct format.
  • The [LogicMonitor.CollectorList:] macro no longer errors when using properties=AllAsJObject in Legacy Mode.
  • Admin -> Cached Values create/edit/clone dialog Expires UTC fields calendar icon has been right justified
  • Fixed an issue with the [LogicMonitor.SlaWidgetValues:] macro which was causing the macro to fail for certain tenants.

  • The Confiuration Tab in Alert Studio now shows the Variables to the list of names in the left panel.

Bug Fixes

  • On Alert Magic, filters on the AMS page, IMS page, Deployment Targets page, and Integrations page now are present and functional.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on Problem Specs (in an Incident Spec) would just show all Problem Specs that existed for all nodes, rather than just the ones relevant to the Incident Spec you have selected.

DataMagic

New Features

  • Added a LogicMonitor configuration override for ConnectionId.

Bug Fixes
